Each set of YCC TEK's high-end electrodeless lamp series – YCCTEK EFL (electromagnetic induction fluorescent lamp of bulb type with internal magnetic field) is composed of the light source and the lamp set. See technical notes for details.

The light source

It is composed of YCC TEK’s high-end electrodeless bulb and YCC TEK's high-efficient electronic ballast.

(1) YCC TEK’s high-end electrodeless bulb has the following crucial elements for its illumination to reach a comfortable and pleasant feeling like in the natural sunshine.

(A) The rare earth's tri-chromatic phosphor generates spectrum of RGB (Red, Blue and Green) tri-wavelength, a comfortable and pleasant lighting. Note that some other brand lamps unbelievably generate blue-ray-based spectrum (with other light waves extremely low), which is more suitable for plant growth and is suspected of being the cause for glaucoma and cataract.

(B) The color tolerance is between 1 and 2, while the standard color tolerance is within 5. Note that some other brand lamps have color tolerance ridiculously high as 9.7 to 10, way beyond the tolerable range, which can cause visual confusion and even dizziness, simply not suitable for indoor lighting.

(C) The color rendering (RA) index has the R9 value (saturated red) at about 20. R9 is the value of the saturated red. Some other brand lamps have the R9 values unbelievably at -2 to -1, and such insufficient red saturation is the main cause of distortion of the illuminated objects.

(D) The main color temperature is 5000K, a noon light (warm white) that beautifully illuminates objects in their glamorous and original colors!

The above crucial elements make a good lamp, and none of them is dispensable. This says it all that YCC TEK’s high-end electrodeless lamps help you make your best choice.

(2) YCC TEK’s high-efficiency electronic ballast has helped lighting industry to achieve the near-perfect lighting realm.

(A) The power factor is as high as 0.99, almost 1, a very high value. Many other brand lamps have power factor of only 0.59~0.6, which is very energy-inefficient (power factors lower than 0.8 can result in penalty fines from Taiwan Power Company)

(B) The operating frequency of 2.65M does not cause co-frequency interference and produces no frequency flash of the light; therefore it will certainly not cause eye fatigue!

(C) The super harmonic filtering technology eradicates all the electromagnetic interference issues (radiated and conducted interference)!

(D) The MCU control chip makes the ballast more secure and stable, for a longer service life!

(E) Coupled with other Taiwanese technologies in the electronic, transistor and circuitry fields, we also build anti-lightning devices for protection and safety in use!

*Be Aware! Some China-made electrodeless lamps introduce serious EMI problems by bringing about co-frequency interference as well as radiated and conducted interference. Upon purchase, be sure the product comes with test reports on national standards set by certified institutions such as Taiwan Power Testing Center or SGS, as well as the certification from Bureau of Standards, in order to protect your safety.*

*Some of the so-called CE certifications come from vendors’ self-declaration, not necessarily tested by the national Bureau of Standards. It is strongly recommended to buy products that are certified by the Bureau of Standards.*

The lamp set

The lamp set comes in two types – the one crated by our own development and the other from existing traditional lamps with our own improvement.

(1)The self-developed type, built with new patented technologies, has dedicated components such as the lamp cooling pad, the K-series K02 lampshade, and quick release ballast box of explosion-proof class. The double oval-center spotlight focus distribution technology, used to design and create a low energy consumption and low glare lighting mode for further and brighter light projection that can be achieved only by traditional high-wattage lamps, makes perfect high-efficiency energy-saving efficacy.

(2)The type of improved lamps from traditional ones is made by ameliorating the base of the lamp set for a better natural cooling, and adjusting the angle of the reflective lampshade and the lamp’s focal position, in order to get rid of the traditional defects and give YCC TEK’s electrodeless lamps much more comprehensive applications.

*For the double oval-center spotlight focus distribution technology, the first thing to consider is the bulb shape – it must be a sphere or in an olive shape to make it work, because the light is projected from the center spot out to all directions, which cannot be done with a straight tube or a ring lamp or the point light source of an LED.*
